Former US President and Republican nominee Donald Trump demanded that his rival Kamala Harris take a cognitive test, stating that Vice President’s “totally bonkers” replies to questions suggest that there might be something “very wrong with her.”
“I believe it is very important that Kamala Harris pass a test on Cognitive Stamina and Agility,” the 78-year-old leader fired off in a post on X.
“Her actions have led many to believe that there could be something very wrong with her,” he added.
Former President Trump slammed Vice President Kamala Harris following her recent “60 Minutes” interview, where one of her responses was edited out by CBS News. Trump pointed to the incident as proof that Harris needs to show that she’s fit for the presidency.
“Even ’60 Minutes’ and CBS, in order to protect Lyin’ Kamala, illegally and unscrupulously replaced an answer she had given, which was totally ‘bonkers,’ with another answer that had nothing to do with the question asked,” Trump said.
“Also, she is slow and lethargic in answering even the easiest of questions. We just went through almost four years of that, we shouldn’t have to do it again!” he said.
His comments came just days after Harris, 59, released a medical report from her White House physician, Dr. Joshua Simmons. The report stated she is in “excellent health” and has the physical and mental resilience needed for the role. It also noted that her last physical, conducted in April, was “unremarkable” and that she leads a healthy, active lifestyle.
She “possesses the physical and mental resiliency required to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief,” he wrote in a two-page letter released Saturday.
